KS Jawahar Reddy, the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, convened a preliminary meeting with all Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments to discuss the upcoming ‘3rd National Chief Secretaries Meeting.’ The meeting took place at the Secretariat in Velagapudi on Monday.

During the meeting, Reddy emphasised the importance of showcasing innovative and best practices at the national-level meeting. Specifically, he highlighted the achievements of the Health, Medical, and Family Welfare Department, which has successfully established Wellness Centres and implemented the ‘Family Doctor’ concept across the State. He also mentioned the successful implementation of zero vacancy and cashless treatments in the department.

In this regard, Jawahar Reddy directed the concerned officials to prepare a comprehensive report detailing the significant schemes and accomplishments of the Health Department. He stressed that Special Chief Secretary MT Krishna Babu should oversee this task.

Furthermore, Reddy urged the Electricity Department to prepare special documentation highlighting their innovative initiatives, such as digital payment systems and round-the-clock power supply, among other issues.

Additionally, he requested state officials to compile detailed reports on topics including drinking water and education reforms.

The meeting was attended by Commissioner J Nivas of the Health, Medical, and Family Welfare Department, Commissioner S. Suresh Kumar of the School Education Department, AP Genco MD Chakradhar Babu, and other officials.
