Use social media to highlight Cong, counter BRS propaganda: Uttam

Must read

Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy underlined the need to strategically use social media to highlight the Congress government’s achievements in Telangana and expose the failures of the BRS and the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre. Addressing the Congress party social media activists of Huzurnagar and Kodad Assembly constituencies on Saturday, Uttam explained the key role social media plays in today’s politics. He underlined that social media could be an effective platform for disseminating the Congress government’s landmark achievements before the public, particularly the implementation of the Six Guarantees. He appealed to social media activists to engage with the beneficiaries of such schemes, record their testimonials, and share those stories in their social media accounts. This way, the Congress could ensure that its governance has a real impact on people’s lives. He exhorted the activists to pool the views of commoners and impress upon them how the Congress government is more effective and responsive to the people’s needs than the BRS. He argued that only such a grassroots outreach would help build a powerful narrative that will strike a chord with voters. Uttam emphasised that every Congress worker should look out for false propaganda by the BRS. He underlined the need to refute misinformation with facts and figures so that the party’s narrative remains strong and credible. Congress workers must monitor social media for any misleading information and respond promptly to correct the record to ensure that no wrong information spreads. He emphasised the need for regular engagement with official party channels on social media and urged all Congress workers to check the official X and Facebook accounts of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress, and other top leaders at least three times a day. By liking and sharing all the posts from these accounts, party workers can ensure that the Congress’ message reaches a larger audience.
