Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya are playing the leads in their upcoming film Jack – Konchem Krack. A song from the film, titled Kiss Song, was released on Thursday at an event in Hyderabad. Bommarillu Bhaskar is the director, and BVSN Prasad is the producer. The film is set to release on April 10. “Every person has a goal in life, but the way we approach our work and the reasons behind what we do are equally important. Some people do things differently, and when we see such a person, we call them a ‘cracker,’ which is why we chose this title,” said Siddhu about his role.
When asked about being remembered as DJ Tillu and how people might perceive this new film, Siddhu responded, “Every film is different and the audience wants entertainment, which I am providing. Generally, we, the filmmakers, think too much about a film because we watch it a hundred times, but the audience watches it only once. So, it all depends on how we provide good entertainment.”
Siddhu, who is also a writer, contributed to the story. “I liked the way Bhaskar narrated my character, and I definitely shared my inputs for the improvisation as a writer,” he said. He added that the story was entirely written by Bhaskar, and he didn’t contribute to it in that sense. When asked further, Siddhu commented, “For this film, Vaishnavi Chaitanya, who is also known for her role in Baby, is the backbone. She plays a dual role and one of her characters speaks with a Telangana accent. When she spoke the dialect, I wanted to reciprocate with the same accent, but I told myself that I play a different character, so I speak in neutral Telugu.”
Bommarillu Bhaskar, who has been out of the limelight after delivering some flops, was questioned about why Siddhu chose to work with him. “It’s not about hit or flop, but I look at their signature and unique style. If you look at Bhaskar’s films like Bommarillu, Parugu, Orange, or any of his other films, he has a unique voice and always comes up with fresh concepts, which is why I agreed to do this film,” said Siddhu. He added that he adapted Bhaskar’s style for this film.
Producer SKN was a few days ago in the news for his remarks about Telugu actresses, which were reported to be indirectly directed at Vaishnavi Chaitanya. SKN had produced the film Baby, in which Vaishnavi was the female lead. The film was a massive hit and Vaishnavi received critical acclaim for her performance. When Vaishnavi was asked about SKN’s comments, she clarified, “He didn’t name anyone. If you check his comments, you’ll see that he didn’t mention anyone’s name. More than that, he released another video to clarify his remarks. He didn’t point me out in either his remarks or the video.” She further added, “I’m very grateful to SKN and the director for giving me a chance in the film Baby.”
When asked about a project that was supposed to be made with the same producers and Anand Deverakonda as the lead actor, Vaishnavi said, “Unfortunately, the project didn’t move forward. However, I’m looking forward to working with them again in the future. I had a great experience working with them.”
