Power star Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej’s Bro is making all the right noise. Produced by People Media Factory, in association with ZEE Studios, has the glam doll Ketika Sharma plays the female lead opposite Sai Dharam Tej. Written and directed by Samuthirakani, the movie will hit big screens on July 28.

For most of the actresses, it is a dream to work alongside Power star Pawan Kalyan. At a very young age, Ketika bagged that opportunity and her excitement contains no boundaries. She said, “The moment I heard PK sir, I didn’t want to hear anything else and all that I wanted to do was be a part of this movie. However, I don’t have any combination scenes with Pawan Kalyan. But there is one scene, in which I get a chance to be part of the same frame alongside PK sir, but I didn’t get scope to interact with him in the scene. That was the first time I met him. I would want to watch this movie as an audience when it opens in theatres.”

In the movie, the sizzling beauty plays Sai Dharam Tej’s girlfriend and she is happy that she got to bag a performance-oriented role in this movie. Be it Romantic, or Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga, ever since Ketika Sharma made her debut in Tollywood, she has only been doing commercial films and Bro too comes under the same category. Despite adapting the film from the Tamil original Vinodhaya Sitham, the actress shares Bro has more commercial elements than the original.

“In the Tamil flick, there was a lesser scope for the female character to perform. Whereas in Bro, I’ve been given good screen space by the makers. Because there’s nothing much that I can take from the original film, I didn’t take anything from the original. In this movie, I was given a few fun dialogues by Trivikram sir which I had to do to the best of my performance. Bro is a very tight script. Samuthirakani didn’t take too much time to shoot the film. Everyone was prepared that they should give their best in the first go.”

The third single Jaanavule from the film is receiving a lot of positive response, especially since Ketika is being lauded for her looks in the movie and the actress credits popular designer Neeta Lulla for it. “She has put very nice looks together. Jaanavule song is one of the best experiences of my film career in Tollywood. I didn’t have the opportunity to dance earlier. This is the first song, where I got the chance to shake a leg. We shot it in a picturesque location in Austria,” she said, adding, “I feel like Bro is a message-oriented film. This is the first time I am part of an artsy, message-giving film. It is going to add to my work. Because Bro is a different space compared to my previous films.”

Speaking about her director Samuthirakani, Ketika says the director was so clear about his vision. “He knew what he wanted. He knew his frames. And he goes very quickly, wraps the shoot in no time. It was fun shooting with him for Bro. Audiences would like to watch Bro for its message,” she added.
