Must read

The Hyderabad show of comedian Vir Das which was supposed to be held on November 20 has been cancelled. The comedian who is on an all-India tour of his ‘Vir Das Wanted Tour 2022’ was scheduled to perform at the Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad on November 20. The people who had booked online tickets for the show received a message from BookMyShow stating that the show had been cancelled due to ‘unavoidable circumstances’.

The cancellation happened just a day after the ‘Hindu Sangathan Ekta Manch’ approached the Hyderabad police asking them to stop the show in the city.

Members of the organisation alleged that Vir Das in his previous videos has made ‘anti-india’ comments and mocked particular communities as well.

The comedian’s Bengaluru show was recently cancelled after protests from the Hindu Janjagruthi Samithi. The comedian had to cancel the show after the organisation filed a police complaint against him over alleged remarks against a particular religion.
