In a decisive step towards long-term development, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday launched Vision Action Plan Unit offices across all 26 districts and 175 Assembly constituencies of Andhra Pradesh. These units form the backbone of the State’s ambitious Swarna Andhra 2047 roadmap, aligning with the national Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.

Virtually inaugurating the units from the State Secretariat, Naidu said the initiative bridges a longstanding gap in governance. “Until now, MLAs lacked dedicated government offices at the constituency level. These Vision Units not only fill that void but also serve as engines of grassroots transformation,” he said.

Each unit will receive Rs 10 lakh in operational funds and will be led by the local MLA, supported by a nine-member team comprising a district nodal officer, academic, young professional, five GSWS Vision staff, and local administrative heads like the RDO, MPDO, and Municipal Commissioner.

Ten core sectors have been identified to drive holistic development: they are Agriculture, Dairy, Fisheries, and Horticulture, Industries, Commerce, and Logistics, Services Sector & IT, Healthcare and Medical Infrastructure, Education and Skill Development, Environment and Natural Resources, Infrastructure – Roads, Water Projects, Housing, Urban and Rural Development, and Governance Efficiency and Digital Governance.

“These sectors form the foundation of our transformation agenda. Our mission is to build a Healthy, Wealthy and Happy Andhra Pradesh,” the CM said.

Naidu noted that every district now has a five-year roadmap and a four-year action plan is being finalised. “We’re already delivering 400+ services via WhatsApp Governance and will transition to the ‘Mitra’ platform within two months,” he added. Departments including Planning, GAD, ITE&C, RTGS, and the CMO are working in tandem to ensure timely implementation.

Among major welfare announcements, Naidu said 15 lakh “Golden Families” would be adopted by mentors under the Zero Poverty–P4 scheme by Independence.

Other key initiatives are Talli Ki Vandhanam launch this month, free bus travel from August 15, direct benefit transfers under the Deepam scheme, MSME parks in every constituency and Ratan Tata Hubs in Amaravati.

“We’re integrating technology with compassion. As incomes rise, welfare will scale accordingly,” he stated.

Naidu slammed the previous government for neglecting the Polavaram diaphragm wall, leading to delays. He set completion targets: Polavaram by 2027, Amaravati by 2028, and Bhogapuram Airport by 2026. He also reiterated plans for metro rail in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, completion of the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone, and fast-tracking of port and harbour projects.

“Despite fiscal constraints, we’ve revived 78 of 93 central schemes. Investor confidence is returning, and public trust has been restored within just a year,” Naidu said. He congratulated Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu for pledging to adopt 10 Golden Families and urged other leaders to do the same, underscoring the vision’s humanitarian focus.
