Vja railway division wins four awards

Vijayawada Railway Division has bagged four national energy conservation awards from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India. The Vijayawada, Tenali, Rajahmundry Railway stations bagged certificates of merit in the Railway Stations category and Electric Traction Training Centre, Satyanarayanapuram, Vijayawada bagged merit certificates in the Government Building sector for adopting and practising best energy conservation measures. The South Central Railway has bagged seven NEC awards this year in the Vijayawada division has achieved four awards.

These awards are declared for the energy conservation measures adopted during the year 2022. The awards are likely to be presented on ‘National Energy Conservation Day’ i.e., December 14, 2022, by President Droupadi Murmu at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
