VRAs to be absorbed in other departments by June 1

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao directed Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari to absorb VRAs in other government departments so that they get regular pay scales by June 1. After taking a decision on this matter during Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, the CM invited VRA JAC representatives to his chamber and held talks with them.

The Chief Minister said the Telangana government works for the poor and the government intends to solve the problems of underemployed VRAs immediately.

The CM advised officials to collect details of the descendants of those who had applied for medical invalidation and their educational qualifications. The Chief Minister directed Revenue Secretary Naveen Mittal to give pay scales to the others on the basis of their qualifications in departments like Municipal, Irrigation, Revenue, ZP, Education, Medical Colleges, Mission Bhagiratha etc. and adjust them for promotion.

Rythubandhu Samiti State President Palla Rajeshwar Reddy MLC was advised to coordinate in all matters, including giving information to the VRAs. The VRAs advised the JAC representatives to hand over all information to the authorities first.

The CM advised the officials to give an opportunity to choose government departments of their choice to VRAs based on their educational qualifications.

The review meeting was attended by Ministers G. Jagadish Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Sabita Indra Reddy, Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, Puvwada Ajay Kumar, Satyavathi Rathod, Indrakaran Reddy, MLC, State President of Rythu Bandhu Samiti Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Chief Minister Chief Adviser Somesh Kumar, Principal Secretary to Government Shanti Kumari, Principal Secretary Revenue Naveen Mittal, Principal Secretary to CM Narsing Rao, Secretaries Smita Sabharwal, Bhupal Reddy, VRA JAC Representatives Ramesh Bahadur, Venkatesh Yadav, Madhava Naidu, Govind and others.

The VRA JAC representatives thanked the Chief Minister for taking a decision at the Cabinet meeting and for asking officials to solve their problems immediately.
