‘We  restored democracy and liberal values’

The Congress Government has ‘restored democracy and liberal values’ in Telangana, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said. The CM said that during the first year, the government set a record by waiving farm loans, giving bonuses to farmers, creating jobs and securing investments.
Posting on X regarding this on Sunday the CM said, “After the successful completion of the first year of #PrajaPalana, I would like to share a few things with my people. During this first year, your government set a record in farm loan waiver, paying crop bonuses, creating jobs and securing investments. Our welfare schemes for women, caste census, and environment-centred urban development policies are being discussed by other governments. Here, I am listing briefly some of your government’s key achievements:
Women welfare: Free ride in TGSRTC buses, free domestic power supply (up to 200 units), and cooking gas for Rs 500 a cylinder.
Farmers:  Waiver of farm loans of over 25 lakh (25,00,000) farmers, depositing Rs 21,000 crore directly into the bank accounts of farmers, Rs 500 bonus above the MSP for every quintal for fine rice and free 24/7 electricity supply for farmers.
Housing: Allocation of four lakh (400,000) Indiramma houses underway.
Jobs for youth:  Over 55,000 posts in government service for youth in a single year. Created lakhs of jobs in the private sector, lowest rate of unemployment in 12 years.
Young India Integrated Residential Schools. Launched war against narcotics and drugs. Established YI Skills University and YI Sports University.
Economic Growth/Urban Development:  Doubled FDIs during the last nine months, overall investments in the last 11 months grew by over 200 per cent. Making Hyderabad the first city in India to undertake an urban re-imagination programme to meet climate crisis challenges. Building a Regional Ring Road, Regional Ring Rail, Radial Roads, next phase of Metro Rail and many other projects, including India’s first Artificial Intelligence City, within the Future City of Hyderabad to ensure growth.
Caste Survey: Telangana has undertaken one of India’s first comprehensive caste survey.
Others: Hyderabad is soon going to become India’s first city whose traffic will be managed by transgender marshalls.
