YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) senior leaders have expressed dismay at the failure of the party leadership in taking disciplinary action against the dissident leaders. When MP Raghurama Krishna Raju revolted against the YSRCP leadership no action was taken against him.

Surprisingly, Raghurama has not been suspended from the party despite having been coming down heavily on the party for the last two years. Now it’s the turn of Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and Venkatagiri MLA Anam Ramanarayana Reddy to raise their voice against the YSRCP leaders.

“If stringent disciplinary action were taken against Raghurama Krishna Raju for resorting to anti-party activities, Kotamreddy and Anam would not have raised their voice openly. We are surprised why the YSRCP leadership is hesitating to take action against dissident leaders,” a YSRCP senior leader said.

The YSRCP leadership has not issued a show-cause notice to the two MLAs and the MP so far either. This issue has become a hot debate among the YSRCP leaders across the State.
The YSRCP failed to take stern action against MP Raghurama Krishna Raju who has become a big problem to the party as he has launched a malicious campaign against Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Moreover, Raghurama Krishna Raju even today technically is a YSRCP MP. The YSRCP has not expelled Raghurama Krishna Raju from the party for anti-party activities, a senior leader pointed out.

“Instead of expulsion from the party, a complaint was given to the Lok Sabha Speaker against Raju. No one knows why the YSRCP is hesitant to expel Raghurama Krishna Raju from the party,” a senior YSRCP leader exclaimed. Had Raju been expelled from the YSRCP then itself, he would have not claimed that he is the YSRCP MP, another YSRCP leader opined.

The leadership should have issued a show-cause notice to Anam Ramanarayana Reddy when he made allegations against YSRCP leaders for their involvement in land grabbing, faction politics, sand, and the liquor mafia.

Though Ramanarayana Reddy is openly criticising the YSRCP leaders no action was initiated against him.“What is the use of dismissing allegations made by the dissident leaders against the YSRCP leaders without suspending them from the party or expelling them?  We are making Kotamreddy a hero by criticising him daily.

If a leader is either suspended or expelled, he will not be given importance by the media,” a YSRCP leader felt. When Nallapureddy Srinivasulu Reddy revolted against the then Chief Minister N T Rama Rao, he was expelled from the TDP, a senior leader recalled stating that the YSRCP leadership had missed the minor logic in taking action against revolted leaders.

Recently one more YSRCP Udayagiri MLA Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy made some comments against the leaders. The YSRCP senior leaders are of the view that the revolted two MLAs and the MP should be expelled from the party immediately for anti-party activities.
