Mythology-inspired films are ruling the box office lately, and adding to the excitement is Yamudu, an upcoming film under the Jagannatha Pictures banner. Actor-director Jagadeesh Aamanchi leads the project, also taking on directorial and production responsibilities. Starring alongside him is Shravani Shetty as the female lead. The film proudly carries the powerful tagline, “Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah” (Dharma protects those who protect it). The makers recently dropped a striking new poster that has instantly grabbed attention. Earlier, the title posters and a special Deepavali poster had already piqued audience interest. However, the latest visual raises the anticipation to new heights.
In the poster, Jagadeesh transforms into a fierce avatar of Yamudu, the God of Death, exuding raw intensity and menace. The chilling backdrop, featuring a demonic figure reminiscent of Mahishasura and heavy chains clenched in Yamudu’s hands, amps up the dark, mythological vibe.
One of the most impactful visuals shows the heroine captured by Yamapasha, while Jagadeesh’s commanding look leaves a lasting impression, promising a story filled with high stakes and powerful emotions. The technical team backing Yamudu includes Vishnu Reddy Vanga behind the camera, Bhavani Rakesh handling the music and KCB Hari as the editor. The story has been penned by Jagadeesh Aamanchi and Hari Allasani, with Shiva Kundrapu writing the screenplay.
