YSRC Medical Wing welcomed the increase of 630 PG seats in government medical colleges in AP as a big boon to medical higher education. YSRCMW senior leader Dr Mehaboob Sheik said that the Centre has given orders increasing 630 PG seats in 11 government medical colleges of the State.
He claimed that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government is giving high priority to medical education and public health sectors. He said that the Jagan government provided infrastructure facilities like never before in the government hospitals and government medical colleges under ‘Nadu-Nedu’. Dr Mehaboob Sheik said that teaching and non-teaching posts have been filled and PG seats have been increased due to the provision of facilities in colleges in accordance with the guidelines and standards of the central government.
Mentioning the establishment of new medical colleges in various districts of the AP, he said that soon 17 new medical colleges will be available in the state and this will help the AP state to stand as a compass for the country in terms of medicine. He added that YSRCMW thanked CM Jagan, Minister of Health, Vidadala Rajini, MT Krishna Babu and congratulated the Vice Chancellor of the Dr YSR University of Health Sciences Dr Shyam Prasad for getting 630 PG seats.
