Reporters on Bharat Rashtra Samithi beat have had enough of jabs from the new government targeting former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who rarely engages with the media even if he is expected to counter the allegations. Left with no alternative, when some of them approached Harish Rao — the storied trouble-shooter — he offered to speak to KCR about it. But what appeared beyond his means was the strange request made by scribes: that the interaction should happen at KCR’s farmhouse! Still, sensing their nose for news, Harish Rao quipped, “All you will see (there) is maize and paddy crop”. The media sees through things; so they responded: “Yea, show us, we will show it to the world”. If the meet does take place at KCR’s farmhouse, newshounds will ferret out a lot for showcasing perhaps some little known aspects of KCR’s life as an unduly quiet opposition leader.
