On the occasion of NTR Jr’s 42nd birthday on Tuesday, fans were treated to a thrilling first look at the much-anticipated action film “War 2”. The makers unveiled a fiery teaser featuring Hrithik Roshan and the South Indian superstar going head-to-head, setting the stage for an intense showdown.
The teaser, which runs for over a minute, hints at an even bigger scale of action and drama compared to the original War (2019), which starred Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in a gripping battle of wits and firepower. This time, audiences can expect heightened thrills as Hrithik and NTR Jr bring their powerful presence to the screen. The teaser also gives a brief glimpse of Kiara Advani, who appears alongside Hrithik in a romantic subplot.
Both Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr shared the teaser across their Instagram profiles, providing fans with links in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. The official poster depicts the two leads in tactical combat attire, standing back-to-back, ready for battle. NTR Jr dons a dark green tactical vest and outfit, gripping a gun firmly, while Hrithik sports a fitted green T-shirt layered with a black bulletproof vest, weapon in hand.
The backdrop paints a chaotic war zone with explosions, military helicopters, fighter jets, and cars flying through the air — promising an adrenaline-pumping spectacle.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is slated for release on August 14 and promises to raise the stakes within the Yash Raj Films (YRF) Spy Universe. The original War, directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra under YRF, featured Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff as the leads, with Vaani Kapoor and Ashutosh Rana playing key supporting roles. It was the third chapter in the YRF Spy Universe and followed an Indian RAW agent tasked with hunting down his rogue mentor.
