Adequate security provided to EVMs: Collector Dinesh

Prakasam District Collector AS Dinesh Kumar has said that adequate security has been provided to the Electronic Voting Machines.
The Collector, along with assistant college Sowryaman Patel and representatives of various political parties, inspected the godown at Mamidipalem village near here where the EVMs were preserved.  The Collector inspected the EVMs, VV PAT. They examined the seals of the EVMs.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that the performance of the CC cameras, installed in the godown premises and the security arrangements were examined and necessary instructions were issued to the officials concerned and staff.
The Collector said that as part of the security arrangements of the Electronic Voting Machines, as per the guidelines of the Election Commission, the EVM, VVPAT godown seals, the functioning of the CCTVs, security arrangements and fire safety standards are regularly inspected and a comprehensive report is sent.
Collector Dinesh Kumar explained that as the elections for the Parliament and Assembly constituencies are being held at the same time, necessary VV Pats, control units and ballot units are being prepared.
Representatives of various political parties including Kranthi Kumar of YSRCP, Rajasekhar of BJP, M Kalesha Begh of TDP, Rasoor Basha of Congress and SD Anif of CPM among those accompanied the Collector.
