Naidu has history of phone tapping: Kesineni Nani

Must read

Vijayawada’s YSRCP parliamentary candidate, Kesineni Srinivas (Nani), stirred controversy with his remarks against TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday. Nani alleged that Chandrababu has a history of involvement in activities like phone tapping, suggesting that senior IPS officer AB Venkateswara Rao aided in such actions during the TDP regime.
Recalling Chandrababu’s previous allegations of phone tapping by the Modi government, Nani pointed out the irony of Chandrababu’s alliance with the same BJP now.
Nani called for an inquiry into phone tapping, particularly as the TDP is now an alliance partner of the NDA. He claimed that his phone has been tapped since 2018 by Naidu’s administration, asserting that he remains undeterred by such tactics.
Kesineni Nani emphasized that neither Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy nor himself has any interest in phone tapping.
He mocked the idea of sending a constable for phone tapping and alleged that Chandrababu is orchestrating such activities from Hyderabad.
Turning his attention to the TDP’s Vijayawada parliamentary candidate, Nani alleged criminal background, citing involvement in land extortion, cheating, and other illicit activities. He further accused Chandrababu’s associates of being involved in drug imports at Visakhapatnam port. Nani criticised the TDP for allocating tickets to individuals he described as “loafers, cheaters, and brokers,” declaring the political career of Devineni Umamaheswara Rao to be effectively over. Nani also claimed that Devineni Uma had asserted that Chandrababu had sold the Mylavaram seat for Rs 100 crore.
