‘Adudam Andhra’ aims to promote sports

District in-charge Collector B Lavanya Veni has said that the ‘Adudam Andhra’ sports event is being organized in order to encourage the youth to participate in sports.
Talking to the media here on Tuesday, the in-charge Collector said that the ‘Adudam Andhra’ sports event would begin on December 15 and continue for 51 days across the state.
She said that during the 51-day sports event, various sports would be organised at the village and ward level for 18 days, at the mandal level for 14 days, constituency level for six days, and district level for seven days. The sports events would also be held for six days at the state level from January 29 to February 2. The ‘Adudam Andhra’ sports event would conclude in Visakhapatnam on February 3, 2024, in-charge Collector Lavanya Veni said.
Panchayat secretary at the village level, MPDO at the mandal level, and district officers of various departments at the constituency level would act as nodal officers for the Adudam Andhra sport event, she informed. Enthusiasts participating in these sports and those coming to watch can also register their names, she said adding that the registration process is very easy and can be registered with just a mobile number and Aadhaar card.
