TIDCO chairman pays tributes to Phule

PARVATIPURAM: TIDCO Chairman Jammana Prasanna Kumar paid rich tributes to social reformer and social activist Jyotirao Phule on his death anniversary on Tuesday. The TIDCO chairman, flanked by district YSRCP president SP Raju, garlanded the portrait of Jyotirao Phule and paid tributes.  Speaking on the occasion, Jammana Prasanna Kumar recalled the struggle carried out by Phule for the eradication of caste disparities in the society.  He said that Jyotirao Phule was born on April 11, 1827 in Maharashtra. He had striven for the eradication of the caste system and disparity in society. Jyotirao Phule also advocated women’s education and founded the ‘Society of Seekers of Truth’ with his followers, he added.  All Indians should remember Jyotirao Phule and draw inspiration from him, he stated. A large number of people’s representatives and activists participated in the programme.
