Director Sampath Nandi is all set to direct Sharwanand in his next film. It’s a period drama set against the backdrop of Mahabubnagar and the Karnataka border. The film’s pre-production is completed, and now, the shoot is set to commence. Sampath Nandi, who supervised the film Odela 2 starring Tamannaah, saw it release a few days back. Although the film bombed at the box office, Sampath stated that he made profits before the release as he sold it to OTT platforms for higher rates. Now, Sampath Nandi is focusing on his upcoming project with Sharwanand. He has finalized the female lead as well. Anupama Parameswaran has been roped in to romance Sharwanand in this period drama. Interestingly, Sharwanand and Anupama earlier worked together in the super hit film Sathamanam Bhavathi. Now, the duo is reuniting for Sampath Nandi’s film. Anupama also has several projects lined up. Her film Paradha is all set to hit the screens soon. She is also acting in a Tamil film Bison opposite Dhruv Vikram and has signed a few more Tamil and Malayalam films.
Anupama’s recent film Tillu Square, where she paired opposite Siddhu Jonnalagadda, was a big hit, and she played a glamorous role. With that film, she indicated she is now open to glam roles as well. In this upcoming Sharwanand film, she will portray a strong woman, says a source.
