Today, we have Anil Badan, its founder and principal architect himself, who speaks of his journey and the artistic philosophy that makes the brand unique from the rest.
Starting out in a small town in Jammu, he has had his own share of significant challenges, particularly in adapting to a new environment and overcoming language barriers during my education in Kerala.
“These early struggles deeply influenced my determination to excel in the field of architecture and design. Instead of being deterred, these obstacles turned into opportunities for growth. The experience taught me the value of perseverance and the importance of pushing beyond comfort zones. Securing the Cloud Nine project in Kolkata marked a pivotal turning point in his career. The resounding success of this project served as a springboard, leading to a number of referrals and prestigious projects like the renowned Ramada Plaza in Varanasi. These ventures, he feels, solidified his credibility in the industry and granted him invaluable exposure in architecture and design, showcasing his ability to conceptualise and execute designs that resonated with clients and garnered recognition.
Speaking of his design philosophy, it revolves around prioritising accessibility and functionality for all. “I believe that every built structure should be designed with the masses in mind, ensuring ease of navigation and low maintenance. This principle is deeply embedded in every project I undertake. Each design element is carefully planned to strike a balance between aesthetics and practicality. By adhering to this philosophy, I aim to craft environments that cater to a wide audience, enriching their experiences while ensuring the longevity and usability of the spaces I design.”
