BRS MP K. Keshav Rao (KK) expressed his deep dissatisfaction regarding the performance of the BJP-led NDA Government. He spoke to the media on Parliament house premises after the President’s speech to both Houses of Parliament on the first day of the budget session on Tuesday.
He said they heard the President’s speech and that it did not mention the main problems of the country like inflation and unemployment.KK said that crony capitalism is running in the country and that the government is gifting public funds to big businessmen.He said that the government should pass the Adani Act in the name of businessman Gautam Adani as he was admired by the government.
KK told President Draupadi Murmu that it would be better to ask the Prime Minister to introduce Adani Act in the country.
KK said that the BRS is not against President Murmu and that they had to boycott the President’s speech to highlight the failures of the Modi government.The Aam Aadmi Party led by Arvind Kejriwal also boycotted the President’s speech along with the BRS.
At a meeting called by Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Parlhad Joshi on Monday, BRS floor leaders KK and Nama Nageswara Rao (Lok Sabha) said the governments of Telangana, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala and some others were facing problems with the Governor system and there was a need for discussion on the federal structure of the country.
They also said that they would question the Centre about the problems and concerns of the public and demanded a discussion about the manner in which Governors conduct their business.
