Explaining the advantages of investing in the plug-and-play industrial ambience of the fastest-growing Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has called upon the nations to invest in the State and be part of its economic growth.

Addressing the International Diplomats Alliance Meet here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister extorted them to participate in the Global Investors Summit (GIS) scheduled to be held at Visakhapatnam on March 3 and 4.

Today’s meeting in which diplomats of various countries, company representatives, and officials of the State and Central governments have participated, is a curtain raiser for the GIS.Elaborating on the facilities and resources available in the State for industrial growth, he said that out of the 11 industrial corridors being developed by the Centre across the country, AP shares space for three of them- Hyderabad to Bangalore, Visakhapatnam to Chennai and Chennai to Bangalore.

As the fastest-growing State in the country with a GSDP of 11.43%, AP has achieved the number one rank in the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) and also retained it for the third successive year, he said.

Having a long coastline of 974 km, the State has vast natural resources with 48 minerals, he said, adding that the State has a single desk portal to clear licenses in 21 days.He underscored the fact that the availability of various industrial clusters like textile, cement, medical, renewable energy, food, and automobiles would offer plenty of opportunities for industrialists to make investments in the State and grow their businesses besides providing employment to the youth.

The State has excellent connectivity with six seaports and six airports with four more seaports to be added soon, said the Chief Minister, outlining that the State stands as the gateway of South East Asia due to its strategic location having the added advantage of inland waterways.

Earlier, CEOs of companies like Toray, Kia Motors, Cadbury, Saint Gobain, and Apache spoke about the advantages of setting up industries in AP and appreciated the government’s efforts in extending cooperation for them.They said that the AP is the best destination for them as it has a committed bureaucracy and political leadership.

The dignitaries also watched an AV ‘Advantage Andhra Pradesh’ presented by the Government on the 360-degree advantage it has in every sector. The Chief Minister also interacted with the participants and exchanged views freely.

“For any industrial problems, we are one phone call away and that is the reason we are ranked no. in EoDB,” the Chief Minister signed off. Sumanth Sinha, president, ASSOCHAM, said, “The biggest asset for Andhra Pradesh is the Chief Minister Jagan himself. The State also has a unique position in the country. Under CM Jagan’s leadership, the State is well positioned for industries and I would request all of us to make Andhra their destination.

All the policies, friendliness in the state and it will make important for us to situate our business. The state’s GDP is over 50 billion dollars and stands 8th state in the county. Their Ease of doing business ranking, which they came first for three years speaks volumes of the government’s work. AP is taking the lead in the renewable and clean energy sector, and it is uniquely positioned for that.”

 He also praised the Chief Minister for supportive and forward-looking, and it is one of the reasons the industries come to Andhra.Suchitra Ella, President, of Southern Chapter, CII said, “It’s the first State to bring in a one-of-its-kind single-window policy, remains first in ranking for ease of doing business. CII had also worked with former CM, late Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy, father of the incumbent CM Jagan Mohan Reddy,l for a long time.

CM Jagan has a futuristic vision, thus Andhra Pradesh has seen a progressive transformational journey.This comes at a time when India is chairing the G20 summit.

Andhra Pradesh government is building a strong ecosystem for growth and global economic chain, thus showing a pro-active approach towards providing a good working atmosphere for companies.”
