Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy accorded a warm farewell to Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan at the Gannavaram International Airport on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister welcomed Governor Harichandan who reached the airport along with his wife Suprava Harichandan, to proceed to Chhattisgarh to assume charge as Governor there. The Chief Minister presented a bouquet to Harichandan and felicitated him with a shawl.
The latter said he was very happy and satisfied with his tenure as Governor of Andhra Pradesh and thanked Chief Minister Jagan for the support and cooperation extended to him during his tenure.
On his arrival at the airport, Governor Harichandan was accorded the ceremonial guard of honour by the police battalion. Later, Chief Minister Jagan, Minister Jogi Ramesh, Chief Secretary Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, DGP K Rajendranath Reddy, Principal Secretary to Governor Anil Kumar Singhal and other senior officers accompanied the Governor to the aircraft and bid farewell to him.
AP Legislative Council Chairman K Moshen Raju, Vijayawada Mayor R Bhagyalakshmi, Chief Information Commissioner RM Basha, APSRTC MD Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao , Secretary to CM R Muthyala Raju, Krishna District Collector Ranjit Basha and other officials and non-officials were present on the occasion.
