CM holds first meeting in new secretariat, reviews work on PRLS

The CM’s first meeting to review the Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Scheme (PRLS) was held at the Dr BR Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao here on Monday.

In the context of the Supreme Court’s permission to continue drinking water project works under the Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Scheme, KCR discussed the progress of the work on the drinking water supply scheme meant for erstwhile Mahbubnagar and Rangareddy districts at the review meeting.

The CM ordered the officials to supply water to the Karivena reservoir by July and to pump water up to Uddandapur by August.

The officials were asked to complete pending works at Narlapur, Edula, Vattem, Karivena and Uddandapur reservoirs.

The CM also asked the officials to complete the remaining work on pump houses, power sub-stations and the ‘conveyor system’ which is being used to pump water from one reservoir to another.

The CM also reviewed the progress in the work on Kalwakurthy, Nettempadu, Bhima and Koil Sagar in Palamuru district. The CM ordered officials to complete the remaining work by June.
