Commercial tax officials raided 11 places of Tonique liquor offices and subsidiaries on Tuesday. The group has reportedly got some special permission and officials have found that they are having special permission, which no one has. According to the officials this is against the excise policies.
The group was reportedly selling liquor under the name of ‘Q by Tonic’. In the previous government, they allegedly got the special permission but those permits were nowhere in the excise policy.
It is reported that there were three top officials and family members involved in these group franchises. Former CMO officer’s son Abhinay Reddy, Additional SP’s daughter Priyanka Reddy and an excise official’s daughter were reportedly partners of this liquor group.
