District Collector V Prasanna Venkatesh said that elaborate arrangements were made to conduct the 10 class examinations in the district.
Addressing a review meeting here on Friday, he said that the 10th class examinations would begin on March 18 and end on March 30 and ordered the officials to ensure that the 10th class examinations are held transparently and peacefully.
He said that 32,355 students are attending the 10 class examinations in the district of which 16,760 are boys and 15,595 are girls. He said that out of the total 32,355 candidates, 24,125 are regular students and 8,230 students are attending privately. The examinations begin at 9:30 am and end at 12:45 pm. The students are allowed into the examination centre after 8:45 am. The Collector said that 139 examination centres were set up in the district. The examinations should be held without any flaws and irregularities, he instructed them.
The Collector told the officials that electronic gadgets like mobile phones should not be allowed in the examination centres, adding that a QR code has been set up for each question paper so that there is no room for any irregularities in the administration of the exams.
He said that the examination centres have been declared as no mobile zones and made it clear that the Chief Superintendent including DEO and other officials are not allowed to bring electronic devices like cell phones, pagers and calculators into the examination centres.
Elaborate arrangements made for SSC examinations in Eluru
Collector Prasanna Venkatesh said that six flying squads were formed to check the mass copying. He warned that indulging in irregularities in the examinations would invite a three-year jail term. He said that Section 144 has been clamped at the examination centres. Additional SP (AR) NSS Sekhar, DEO S Abraham DMHO Dr. S Sharmist and DTO Santha Kumari were among those who were present.
