Jana Sena Political Affairs Committee chairman Nadendla Manohar has asked the State government to focus on cyclone devastation instead of Pawan Kalyan’s campaign vehicle ‘Varahi’.

Addressing a press conference in Anakapalli on Monday, Manohar said that the government had failed to take steps to save the cyclone-affected farmers. He deplored that the Mandous cyclone has wreaked havoc in the State. The government has to take steps to protect the farmers.

But the ruling party leaders had focussed on Pawan Kalyan’s vehicle colour which is unfortunate, he said.

He criticised the YSRCP government stating that orders were not given to issue job cards to the youths. The instructions to stop issuing job cards to the employment offices are indicating the ineptness of the government in handling issues, he slammed.

Nadendla Manohar assured of helping the youths to get job cards. “The ministers are making absurd and senseless statements to divert the attention of people from the government’s failures,” he criticised.

The Jana Sena leader ridiculed the ruling party stating that when Pawan Kalyan called upon cadres to be prepared for the election the ruling party panicked.

Later addressing the cadres, though the state annual budget is Rs 2.30 lakh crore but the government has no money to carry out even minor development works. He asked the government where the lakh of crores of money has gone.

“The government is hoodwinking people by laying foundation stones for various works despite it having no money to carry out the works. The government is creating illusions by stating that wonders will happen if the capital city is established in Visakhapatnam,” he flayed.

Manohar said that when he interacted with the youths of Srikakulam district he understood that they want jobs but not the capital city in Visakhapatnam.

Manohar lamented that 32 people sacrificed their lives for the establishment of the Steel Plant in Visakhapatnam but the Centre wants to privatize the plant now. The Jagan Reddy-headed government remained a mute spectator by not raising an objection in this regard, he said, adding that the Amaravati region farmers had given 32,000 acres of land but injustice was meted out to them.
