City Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi said that summer coaching camps will be organised for 37 days from April 25 to May 31 under the auspices of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
She said that training will be given in 44 types of sports in these summer camps. This training will be conducted for children between six years and 16 years at various playgrounds within the GHMC. The Mayor asked the interested students to register their names on the website www.ghmc.gov.in/sports.
 These include Athletics, Archery, Ball Badminton, BasketBall, Badminton, Baseball, Boxing, Cricket, Chess, Cycling, Fencing, Food Ball, Gymnastics, Hockey, Handball, Judo, Karate, Kabaddi, Korfball, Mall Kamba, Net Ball, Roller Skating, Soft Ball, Swimming, Sepak Takra, Table Tennis, Tennis, Tennikoit, Taekwondo, Togaf War, Volleyball, Weight Lifting, Wrestling Indian, Wrestling Roman, Ushu, Yoga, Throw Ball, KickBoxing and Carroms.
 As part of the special summer coaching, different types of competitions will be organised for the athletes. They includes sports quiz, inter-center tournaments, face-to-face with national and international players, awareness on the rules and regulations of games to develop the spirit of sports. The camp will start at the Victory playground in Khairatabad zone on April 25 at 8 am.
The closing ceremonies will begin from May 26 at various locations such as Charminar Zone, Quli Qutub Shah Stadium, GHMC Uppal Stadium and LB Nagar Zone.
