Harish Rao seeks better facilities in govt hospitals

Must read

Former MLA T Harish Rao on Wednesday alleged that dengue fever is spreading in villages due to prevailing unhygienic conditions.
He visited the bereaved family members of Sutari Kanaka Lakshmi who died due to dengue at Tadakapalli village in Siddipet urban mandal.
Lack of sanitation in the villages became a bane of the villagers, he alleged. Quoting the example of Kanaka Lakshmi, he said that she went to government hospital but could not secure appropriate medical services there. Therefore, she sold an acre of land and spent Rs 25 lakh to receive treatment in a private hospital, but in vain.
Negligence in ensuring cleanliness in villages and lack of suitable treatment facilities in government hospitals cost the life of Kanaka Lakshmi, he said.
Therefore, he demanded that the state government take measures immediately to extend better medical amenities in government  hospitals.
