The Telangana High Court has refused to stay the Group 1 Prelims examination.
A hearing was held on Thursday on a writ petition filed by the Telangana Public Service Commission (TSPSC) in the High Court seeking a postponement of Group-1 prelims scheduled for June 11.
The petition came up for hearing on Thursday. Justice K. Laxman said he cannot hear the writ as his daughter had also written the Group-1 Prelims exam. He said that he will send the writ to another bench in the afternoon.
Justice Pulla Karthik’s Bench heard the petition and refused to stay the prelims exam.
In the petition, 36 candidates said that it is illegal for the TSPSC to issue a notification for conducting Group-1 Prelims without enforcing the provision of granting two months between respective examinations when different notifications are issued for different posts.
The High Court issued notices to the TSPSC Chairman, Secretary, Home Secretary and SIT to give an explanation on this. The court adjourned further hearing by four weeks.
