Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) officials demolished three houses and five basements, along with compound walls and electricity poles in Jawahar Nagar on Tuesday.

The HMDA officials also filed an FIR against encroachers in the police limits on Tuesday. Jawahar Nagar Municipality has issued a whip against those who have taken up illegal constructions on vacant plots.
In collaboration with the local police, the HMDA officials have razed the illegal constructions found in about 3,000 yards in various survey numbers. Among them there are three houses, five basements, some electricity poles and some compound wall structures.
Those involved in illegal constructions in the HMDA lands under Jawahar Nagar Municipality have been identified and further action will be taken.
