Former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy indirectly levelled serious allegations against the BRS leadership.Ponguleti held an Athmeeya Sammelan on Tuesday with his supporters in the Pinapaka constituency in the erstwhile Khammam district.

Addressing them, he said the day when people will judge the rulers is not far off. Ponguleti said that BRS leaders used to adopt scare tactics even when he talked about his problems.
Ponguleti is said to have continued in the BRS only due to his closeness to KTR. He said that he will tell what kind of difficulties he had faced after changing party.

“They did not give me security when I asked. I told them to take back the two gunmen I have. I am not a terrorist and I didn’t grab land. But I can’t help but raise my voice. I have no godfather in politics. My godfather is the people of Khammam district and Telangana. You know the reason why I did not get any posts for four years,” he said.

He organised the Athmeeya Sammelan to gauge opinion on changing his party and will be holding meetings in all constituencies in Khammam district. As part of this, Ponguleti arranged a meeting with the leaders of Pinapaka on Tuesday.

Ponguleti’s supporters said that it is certain that he will join the BJP and will be meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah on January 18. There is a possibility of Ponguleti meeting Modi too.
