Minister for Health Vidadala Rajini has said that the AP government has been taking several measures to save cancer patients. The government has been providing health facilities and inviting all industries to partner in the growth story of Andhra Pradesh and work with us on a transformational journey for mutual benefit.
Addressing the delegates at the NATHEALTH Industry round table conference held in New Delhi on Monday, the minister said that she was pleased to participate in the prominent gathering and shared the development activities undertaken by the state government and shared thoughts on possible synergies.
Minister Rajini stressed the measures being taken to improve the performance of the health sector by radically revamping the public health care and preventive health system through strategic interventions under the leadership of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. She said that the Government has taken a decision to establish 17 new medical colleges across the state with an investment of Rs. 8500 Crs. In addition 11 Government Medical colleges already exist.
Members of the meeting expressed a positive response and said there are many possible avenues of collaboration with the state as suggested by the minister and a joint task force will be formed to take the discussions forward.
MT Krishna Babu spoke about the developments made by the state government to provide decentralised health care in the state. Speaking about the Aarogyasri scheme, 2,200 plus empanelled network hospitals across the state covering 3200 plus medical procedures.
GS Naveen Kumar opened remarks during the roundtable and spoke about the importance of digital technology and how it makes human life easy.
He said by visual technology bringing visual tech, technologies traverse a patient’s journey from diagnosis, to treatment, to continuing care and prevention. A High-level delegation including Principal Secretary MT Krishna Babu and Special Secretary GS Naveen Kumar from the government of Andhra Pradesh led by Minister Vidadala Rajini participated in the NATHealth Industry Roundtable.
