A high-level delegation comprising members of International Organisation of Migration (IOM) and International Labour Organisation (ILO) met Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar at BRKR Bhavan on Tuesday and discussed about the measures to be taken for reintegration of international returnee migrants in Telangana.
The Chief Secretary informed that the government established TOMCOM for skill development of unemployment youth of the state. The government is also approaching several countries to facilitate the youth of the state find jobs world-wide in the best possible way.
A programme to train nurses has already started and similar initiatives are also being taken up in other sectors as well. He stated that the government has created a favourable ecosystem to deepen sustainable initiatives in reintegration of migrant workers.
Special Chief Secretary (Labour) Rani Kumudini, Special Secretary (Industries) Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Head of Office IOM, Sanjay Awasthi and Director ILO Dagmar Walter were present.
