Jana Sena Party (JSP) district president Sk Riaz has alleged that the poor were allocated house sites at a place that is unfit for the construction of houses and living. The JSP leaders and activists visited the Jagananna colony site on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Riaz said house sites were allocated to the poor at the Yarajarla hill area where there are iron ore mines. The person who had taken the iron ore mines area on lease approached the court against the allocation of house sites and the court issued a stay order on the proceeding. The JSP leader said that Balineni Srinivasa Reddy is a five-time MLA and he had worked as minister two times.

He questioned how the poor were given house sites at the disputed site. The government had spent crores of rupees to level the ground at the disputed sites and huge money was wasted. He said that the JSP leaders visited the mining area and took the issue to the notice of the District Collector. The mining at Yarrajarla hills is a bigger scam than the Rushikonda, he alleged.

“We will take the issue of illegal mining to the notice of JSP chief K Pawan Kalyan if the officials fail to take action to curb the illegal mining activity at the Yarajarla hill”. Sheik Riaz alleged that the government purchased the lands which are unfit for residential locations by spending huge money. The government purchased the lands, which were very less market value, by offering exorbitant prices and he lashed out and alleged that there was a big scam in purchasing lands for the Jagananna colonies.

The YSRCP leaders swindled huge money in the name of purchasing lands for distributing house sites for the poor. JSP city president M Ramesh alleged that the government misused Rs 80,000 crore for the purchase of lands for the distribution of house sites to the poor. He demanded the government take steps for the construction of houses in the allocated house sites.Earlier, the JSP leaders holding placards and raising slogans stood in front of the JCBs and earth movers at Yarajarla hill to prevent illegal mining.

Tagasildar of the mandal went to the place and assured the JSP leaders to take action against those who were involved in the illegal gravel mining. JSP leaders Pilli Rajesh, Palla Prameela, RK Naidu, and Govind Komali were among those who participated in the programme.
