‘KTR nothing before Rahul’

TPCC President Revanth Reddy lashed out at Industries Minister KTR and said that it was stupid of him to ask who Rahul Gandhi is. He said that KTR should know about the ‘sacrifices’ of Rahul’s family. Revanth said that while the Nehru-Gandhi family had no houses, KTR’s family built farmhouses within 10 years of coming to power.“Why is KTR so adamant? If Telangana state had not been created, KTR would have been washing bathrooms in the US. While the Gandhi family made ‘sacrifices’ for the country, KCR cheated people saying Neellu, Nidhulu and Niyamakalu,” Revanth said.

Sonia Gandhi even refused to accept the post of Prime Minister when she had a chance to do so. Revanth was addressing the Vijayabheri public meeting held at Peddapalli on Thursday. If Sonia had not given Telangana, KCR’s family would have been begging at Nampally Dargah or at Birla Mandir, he said.

Revanth said that KCR should reveal from where he got the lakhs of crores and thousands of acres. How can KCR’s family buy a 1000-acre farmhouse in 10 years? Revanth said the KCR family had accumulated assets worth Rs 1 lakh crore in and around Hyderabad.

“The Gandhi family who ruled this country for 60 years has no house. But you bought hundreds of acres after running the government for 10 years. You built a farmhouse. KTR, you should not be asking Rahul who you are. KTR is nothing before Rahul. Do we need such leaders? These stupid people are asking who Rahul is. Rahul’s family sacrificed their lives for the country while KCR looted the state. How do you have the right to ask who Rahul is?” Revanth said.

“How can KTR ask who Rahul is when they stole lakhs of crores like bandicoots? KCR, who cheated people, is trying to become the Chief Minister a third time. Young women are insulted if they commit suicide due to lack of jobs,” Revanth said.

KTR is asking what the Congress has done for Telangana. It is the Congress which sanctioned the Nagarjuna Sagar, Srisailam, Sriram Sagar, Nettempadu, IT projects, RGI Airport, and the metro rail for Hyderabad, he said.

Nehru brought independence to Telangana. Rajiv introduced computers to this country. Indira and Rajiv sacrificed their lives for the country. Rajiv gave the youth the right to vote at the age of 18, he said. The Congress has announced six guarantees for the people of Telangana. After coming to power, all the six guarantees will be implemented. He said that as part of the six guarantees an LPG cylinder will be supplied for Rs 500. Up to 200 units of free electricity will also be provided to poor families. We will give financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the poor who build houses. We will provide Rs 15,000 per year to farmers and tenant farmers. We will provide Rs 12,000 to agricultural labourers, he said.

He said the Congress has taken a decision to pay a pension of Rs 4,000. Under the Indiramma Indlu Scheme Rs 5 lakh and a 250 square yard house site will be given to Telangana movement activists, he said. Revanth that justice will be delivered to the poor only if Indiramma rule comes back. He appealed to voters to vote for Vijaya Ramana Rao in Peddapalli and help him win with a margin of at least 50,000.
