A large number of municipal workers staged a protest in front of the Collector’s office here on Monday demanding fuilfilment of their demands.
The municipal workers went to the Collector’s office in a huge rally. They squatted in front of the main gate of the Collector’s office. They held flags and flex banners and raised slogans demanding the government to concede their legitimate demands.
They also tried to barge into the Collector’s office but the police prevented them. A jostle took place between the police and agitating municipal workers leading to a tense situation for some time.
The police arrested and whisked away some of the employees away to the police station.
