Old students donate digital blackboard to med college

Rangaraya Medical College Principal Dr DVSL Narasimham inaugurated the Rs 3.45 lakh digital blackboard presented by the college old students of the 1974 batch, at a function held at the college here on Thursday to mark the 65th Foundation Day.

Noted trauma care expert Dr S V Lakshminarayana, who was responsible for materialising the digital blackboard project said that many other alumni members had come forward to donate similar digital blackboards and other teaching materials to the college and it is likely to materialize soon.

Dr Vadrevu Ravi, noted dermatologist and social activist who is the president of Rangaraya medical college’s old students association (Ramcosa) has said the digital board was very much useful in the teaching and learning process. The students and the teachers can participate in the international medical sessions and interact with the professors of various countries in virtual mode through this digital blackboard,he added.

Later, Ramcosa president Dr Ravi, secretary Dr. Y. Kalyana Chakravarty MD of Trust Hospitals, treasurer Dr Ch Kiran along with the principal Dr Narasimham honoured Dr SV Lakshmnarayana the project incharge with a shawl and a memento on the occasion.
