Strengthen CPI, cadre told

CPI State secretary K Ramakrishna has exhorted the cadre to strive hard to strengthen the party and work to resolve local problems. The CPI held its district general body meeting on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that a conducive atmosphere prevailed in the CPI not only in AP but also across the country and asked the cadres to mingle with the people, extend support on public issues and strengthen the party.

“The Jagan Mohan Reddy’s graph in the state is falling day by day. Andhra Pradesh has stood first among the 29 states of the country in bringing loans”, CPI Ramakrishna flayed. During the last three and a half years, the Jagan Reddy-headed government had borrowed Rs 8 lakh crore but no development had been achieved with the money, he criticized.

He said that CPI National Congresses had filled the workers with new enthusiasm, adding that this is the first time that the National Congress of the country being held three times in the same city. 872 delegates from 28 states attended the National Congress and 32 percent of them were first-timers, he informed.

It is appreciable that the party leaders and workers stood on one hand and unanimously elected D Raja as the National Secretary along with the new council. He said that the first task of the CPI was to remove the BJP from power at the centre.

Ramakrishna said that since the BJP came to power, it had been ruling with the aim of inciting religious hatred without development. He said that unemployment in the country is increasing day by day.

He said that not a single promise made during the election has been fulfilled. He alleged that BJP led Centre is using CBI, ED, and Income Tax departments as a weapon to conduct raids on the leaders of the political parties and terrorise them.
