The volunteers of the Open Heart Trust actively participated in the distribution of food, water bottles, bread, biscuits and clothes to the flood victims of Ajith Singh Nagar, Rajiv Nagar, Vambay Colony, Rajarajeswaripeta, UDA Colony, Paipula Road, Vaddera Colony and other areas. The volunteers have continued their support for the flood victims for the past 10 days.
According to founder trustee Rasamsetti Nanda Kishore and president Tanuja Rani, food packets, water bottles, biscuits, breads etc. were distributed during the floods.
The flood has receded and in the past five days, however, they continued distributing clothes, blankets, sarees, and other essential goods to those who have lost everything.
They gave a call to the people to support the flood victims. No one had thought the city would witness such a calamity, they added. Also, they expressed gratitude to those who stood in support of the flood victims.
