Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s comments on Allu Arjun’s Sandhya Theatre issue have stirred the hornet’s nest once again. Pawan’s comments on Monday gave a chance to Telangana politicians to speak on the issue at a time when they were silent.
Reacting to Pawan’s comments that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is a great leader, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, said, “I have no idea what Pawan said. If he has indeed called him a great leader, I wonder what qualities he saw in him. Revanth hasn’t implemented the six guarantees or fulfilled any other promises he made. Crime has increased. So, how he is a great leader is something only they can explain.”

Sanjay said that in the Sandhya Theatre incident, Allu Arjun was arrested, jailed, and later released on bail. That issue is over. However, discussing it for hours in the Assembly as if there is no other pressing matter is unnecessary, he said.
“This seems like a ploy to divert attention from the discussions on the six guarantees. As far as I know, something seems to have gone wrong between Revanth and Allu Arjun. They claim ‘Pushpa 2’ has earned Rs 1,700 crore, even though the film hasn’t started yet, and they are already talking about ‘Pushpa 3.’ Wasn’t it publicly announced that the deceased woman’s husband withdrew his complaint against Allu Arjun? Then why this uproar over the matter?” Sanjay said.
Responding on the Allu Arjun issue, BRS Working President KT Rama Rao said that Revanth spoke to cinema people to divert attention and for publicity. Revanth should have spoken about the deaths of residential school students if he had been sincere. However, he targeted only the film industry. Revanth is now silent after his patch-up with cinema personalities, he said.
Meanwhile, the BJP’s Armoor MLA, Paidi Rakesh Reddy, said, “I am the real Pushpa, I exported red sanders legally. The seller and buyer of Red Sander are also Pushpas.”
The Congress’s Bhongir MP, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, said that Pawan Kalyan spoke facts on the Allu Arjun issue unlike the BJP and the BRS.
He said, “I don’t think that PK didn’t speak in favour of the Congress Government. He also said that there was no government like the Jagan Government in Telangana. Allu Arjun’s issue triggered a nationwide debate and increased ‘Pushpa-2’ collections. The film will run for another two months. YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu is a good actor and dancer. Rambabu will get a good role in the next film, he said.

Hearing on Allu Arjun’s bail put off to January 3
The decision follows the actor’s virtual appearance before the court on December 27 in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case, which tragically claimed the life of a woman and left her son hospitalized.
Allu Arjun is currently out on interim bail granted by the Telangana High Court. He was arrested on December 13, after being booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
Following his arrest,  the Nampally Court sent him to judicial custody for 14 days, during which he was lodged at the Chanchalguda jail.

The actor’s legal team subsequently approached the High Court, which granted interim bail on the same day, directing him to seek regular bail from the trial court.
