Ponguleti warns panchayat secretaries of action against laxity

Minister for Revenue Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has warned Panchayat Secretaries of action if they failed to mend their ways.  
Participating in a review meeting held at a private function hall at Satyanarayanapuram in Khammam rural mandal on Monday, he directed the Secretaries to reside at headquarters in which they are posted. They are supposed to be available for officials duty.
He said that he received many complaints against Panchayat Secretaries, but no action would be take for now. If they failed to mend their ways, the Minister warned them of severe action.  
Moreover, there are no transfers for the Panchayat Secretaries. So, only option left with authorities is to take departmental action. Similarly, Agriculture Extension Officers should reside in the cluster of their posting. Those who reside in one village but work in other village or mandal should immediately go back to their place of posting. District Panchayat Officer has been asked to implement it in one week.
The Minister, who reviewed Vanakalam cultivation, sanitation and development works, enquired the panchayat secretaries about the main problems in their villages. He directed the officials to find solutions to these problems.
He asked the government officials to bring the problems to his notice so that he will be able to solve them on an urgent basis. He asked the district officials to identify liquor shops within a radius of 200 meters for whom the permission was given by some Excise officials after taking bribes, and take action against such liquor shops.
Further, he asked the officials to identify those who are eligible to receive physically challenged, old age and widow pensions. To prevent outbreak of seasonal diseases, the Revenue Department should coordinate with Anganwadi workers and ASHA workers. He offered to provide RO Mineral water plants to all villages.
