Rs 10 lakh donated to Red Cross Society

An amount of Rs 10 lakh was donated to the Indian Red Cross Society by NRI Vinnakota Lakshmi Narendra Babu here on Thursday.

Narendra Babu donated Rs 10 lakh to the Red Cross Society in memory of his parents Vinnakota Lakshmidevi and Vinnakota Venkateswara Rao. He handed over the Rs 10 lakh cheque to district Collector KVN Chakradhar Babu.

Narendra Babu appealed to the Collector to use the amount for the construction of a room in the cancer hospital. The Collector appreciated Narendra Babu for donating Rs 10 lakh to the Red Cross Society.

Red Cross Society cancer hospital general manager MD Juber, Dr. Nageswara Rao, Srilakshmi, IRCS Committee members Rangaiah Naidu, Vinnakota Shiva, Vinnakota Nagaraju, Nimmala Venkateswarulu and JV Subba Rao were among those who were present.
