Special programme for Papa home kids at zoo

On the eve of Children’s Day 2022, Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, Visakhapatnam, organised a special programme for the children of ‘PAPA HOME’, on Sunday. Children were taken on the zoo tour by the Zoo Education Team who explained about various animals housed in IGZP.

All the students enthusiastically listened and learned some new and interesting facts about animals. After the zoo tour, IGZP conducted an activity related to zoo animals at Bioscope, said Sh Anant Shankar, Curator, IGZP. Later, ‘Treasure Hunt’ game was organised for the students. The game involves a search for toys of various species such as tigers, lions, and elephants hidden in a different specific area.

These competitions help increase the knowledge of the children, the curator said. Parents and teachers should encourage their children to participate in these competitions and help them to learn new things about wildlife and its conservation. Animal-themed masks were given to the students. Certificates were presented to all the participants.
