Andhra women win bronze at National Tennikoit Championship

Andhra Pradesh women’s Tennikoit team won the bronze medal at the Senior National Tennikoit Championship being conducted at Sonipat in Haryana from November 10 to 14. It is the first medal for the State in the game after bifurcation.

According to Andhra Pradesh Tennikoit Association general secretary A Yadaiah, the AP team put up a good show in the senior nationals. Players R Mounikam, G Hema Madhuri, M Pravallika, P Renuka, S Pallavi Swetha Sri and G Sravani represent the State team, he said.

Andhra Pradesh Tennikoit Association chairman and MLV PGVR Naidu (Gana Babu), president YD Rama Rao and CEO BS Nagaraju congratulated the players, coach G Raju and manager Y Alekhya. International Tennikoit player and referee M Lakshman Rao, K Ramesh, KVV Satyanarayana and others were present.
