Tollywood hero Allu Arjun may play a “supporting role” for the sake of his father-in-law Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy if the BRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao gives a ticket to the latter to contest from Nagarjuna Sagar constituency. Chandrasekhar Reddy belongs to Nagarjuna Sagar constituency and he may use the glamour of his son-in-law Allu Arjun in the upcoming Assembly elections if he is fielded by the BRS party.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun will tour the Nagarjuna Sagar constituency on August 19. It is learnt that Allu Arjun will inaugurate the function hall constructed by his father-in-law in the Nagarjuna Sagar constituency.
Chandrasekhar Reddy recently said that he would contest from the Nagarjuna Sagar constituency if the BRS party gave him the ticket. In this context, Allu Arjun’s visit to the Nagarjuna Sagar constituency gained significance.
However, the sitting MLA Nomula Bhagath, MLC MC Koti Reddy’s follower Ranjith Yadav, and NRI Gaddampally Ravinder Reddy are also aspiring for the BRS party ticket to contest from Nagarjuna Sagar.
One of the leaders from Nagarjuna Sagar stated that the allocation of the party ticket to contest from Nagarjuna Sagar would be decided based on the opinion of the district minister. Allu Arjun’s father-in-law Chandrasekhar Reddy will become one of the strong t aspirants if the BRS party wants to change the sitting MLA. Otherwise, Chandrasekhar Reddy has to seek a ticket from any other political party like the BJP as there is no chance to seek a ticket from Congress as former Minister Kunduru Jana Reddy will contest.
Chandrasekhar Reddy lost the election from Ibrahimpatnam in 2014 elections contested as a candidate of the BRS party. Chandrasekhar Reddy did not get a ticket from any constituency in the 2018 elections and stayed away from the elections.
