Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramaiah Smaraka Bhavan Nirmana Sadhana Samithi members and political party leaders urged the Krishna district collector
Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramaiah Smaraka Bhavan Nirmana Sadhana Samithi members and several political party leaders urged the Krishna district collector P Raja Babu to take steps to immediately start the Pattabhi memorial building construction work at Machilipatnam. The district administration allotted two acres of land on RS No.371A-A1 for constructing the Pattabhi Smaraka Bhavan, they said.
The Samithi members and several political party leaders met the district collector K Raja Babu at his office in Machilipatnam on Wednesday. They submitted a representation to him for the early starting construction of the Bhogaraju Pattabhi Smaraka Bhavan.
They told the collector that the Machilipatnam Municipal Corporation authorities have not been permitting the building construction for the past year. Freedom fighter Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramaia did a lot for the development of Machilipatnam, they said. In memory of him, at the request of the Samithi, the district administration allotted a site to construct a convention hall, museum and library, they added.
Further, they said for one year, the Machilipatnam Municipal Corporation authorities did not respond regarding building permission. If the building work may not start, the funds released by the Union Bank may go back, they lamented.
In this connection, the district collector should intervene in this and help for the building permission, they requested. Also, they gave an ultimatum that the Samithi and all political party leaders would go to an agitation, if the district administration may not respond.
Machilipatnam Municipality former chairman MV Baba Prasad, Jana Sena Party in charge Bandi Ramakrishna, City president G Raju, BJP district leader P Gajendra, Congress Party city president K Chandrasekhar, Pattabhi Smarka Bhavan Niramana Sadhana Samithi members ARK Murthy, Vemuri Ramakrishna Rao, PV Phani Kumar and others were met the district collector.
