TDP NTR district president Nettem Raghu Ram, Krishna district president Konakalla Narayana Rao and other party leaders on Wednesday met NTR District Police Commissioner Kanti Rana Tata at the Police Commissionerate in Vijayawada and submitted a representation seeking permission and security for the Yuvagalam Padayatra organised by TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh. Also, they handed over the details of the route map regarding Lokesh’s Padayatra.
Ahead of the general elections, Lokesh is conducting the Yuvagalam Padayatra which will arrive in Vijayawada on August 19 and tour Vijayawada West, Central, East, Penamaluru, Gannavaram, and Nuzvid assembly constituencies in the combined Krishna district for four days.
The Yuvagalam Padayatra will enter NTR district on August 19 and cover Vijayawada East, West and Central constituencies in two days. The Padayatra will cover around 14 kilometres in NTR district. After Nara the Padayatra reaches Gannvaram on August 21, the TDP is planning to conduct a massive public meeting there with the participation of two lakh people.
TDP Politburo members Kollu Ravindra, Bonda UmamaheswaraRao, Varla Ramaiah, Vijayawada East MLA Gadde RammohanaRao, MLC Manthena Satyanarayana Raju, former minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and others accompanied the party presidents.
Arrangements being made
TDP activists of both NTR and Krishna districts are making arrangements for welcoming Nara Lokesh’s Yuvagalam Padatra on a grand note. The Padayatra will enter NTR district through the Prakasam Barrage on August 19 and continue through Vinayaka Temple, Police Control Room, Swarnapalace, Vijayatalkies, Chuttugunta BSNL office, Nicebar and IGMC Stadium on the first day. Nara Lokesh is likely to stay there at night.
On the next day, the Padayatra will commence from Benz Circle and cover NTR Circle, Pantakaluva Road, Patama Rythu Bazar and Sanath Nagar. Later, it will enter Penamaluru constituency at Kamayyathopu. Lokesh will stay at Nidamarru on the same night.
In view of this, the TDP cadre and activists have been involved in making elaborate arrangements for making the padayatra successful. TDP is also expecting that thousands of people will participate in the Yuvagalam Padayatra along with Nara Lokesh during the three days.
