Prime Minister Narendra Modi commented that Telangana has been crushed between the BRS and the Congress and that these two parties have destroyed Telangana’s dreams in the last 10 years.
The BRS engaged in corruption all these years and the Congress is thinking that it has got a chance now. Five years are enough to destroy the state for the Congress, Modi said ridiculing the Congress and the BRS. He added that the situation of Telangana is like coming out of a well and falling into a hole.
He said the Congress has been trying to gain in the name of social justice. However, the same Congress tried to defeat tribal lady Droupadi Murmu in the Presidential election. The Congress insulted Dalit Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka by giving him a dwarfish chair, he said.
“KCR deceived Dalits in the name of Dalit Bandhu and did not keep his word that he will make a Dalit the first CM of Telangana. KCR also insulted Dr BR Ambedkar by saying that there is need for a new Constitution,” Modi said.
Addressing a public meeting at Nagarkurnool on Saturday, Modi said that the people of Telangana are hoping for the victory of the BJP at the Centre a third time. The people of Telangana showed anger at the 10-year rule of the BRS during the Assembly elections, Modi said.
He appealed to the people of Telangana to ensure the victory of BJP candidates as the BJP will fulfil the hopes of the people.
“I will work day and night for you. The people showed their support by waiting on the streets of Malkajgiri. The plans of the Congress will not work if people ensure BJP’s victory. The Congress gave the ‘Gharibi Hatao’ slogan decades ago but did poverty disappear? Congress rule is nothing but cheating and looting. The Congress sees the SCs, STs and OBCs only as vote banks. Change started in the country only after the BJP got majority. Modi’s guarantee is a guarantee for change. I have been working hard day and night for India’s 140 crore people. The construction of Ayodhya Ram Temple and scrapping of Article 370 are some examples of what I did,” Modi said.
