Transfers or game of musical chairs?

Police transfers, particularly at DSP level, have been equated with the game of musical chairs across Telangana. Some officers, despite being promoted in 2018-19, are yet to get law and order posting, not withstanding the regime change. There are others who had enjoyed sinecures and plum postings in the BRS regime but who managed to get transferred and posted within the city of their choice by cosying up with the new administration in the context of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Officers who await posting without scope for behind-the-scene action are resentful that, despite change in regime, their fortunes have not changed.
